  1. Tonight we are staying in and grilling steaks accompanied with twice baked potatoes and Spinach, Apple & Bacon Salad with chocolate dipped strawberries for dessert after the kids are in bed. :)

  2. Surprised Abby with a bunch of balloons after school. ...Bill & Kevin each got a bunch tied to their chairs in the dining room. (Abby, the ever observant one asked where mine are!) :o)

Bill and I have our wedding anniversary on the 19th, so we decided early on to stay in on Valentine's day & enjoy an evening out on the less busy 19th. He usually cooks for me, but we're having some problmes in the kitchen (good timing, huh?) so I ordered curbside pick up at Outback! Yumm! Can't wait! I'm forfitting taking a nap with the kids to clean up the house as an extra sruprise for Bill. THAT he'll be most excited about I'm sure! :o)

  5. I am making a big pot of stew with lots of red wine in it and in my glass :) Just skyped with emily in Argentina so that was nice and will have the other two kids and roy home for dinner. Then made brownies with little candy hearts on them for dessert...not a bad evening!

  6. Well...Rob is working is working in Chicago this week, so I will only get to see him via Skype today. But, we did have our Valentine's Day dinner out at a great steakhouse here in Chico -- on Feb. 4th, just a little early, but it was wonderful! For dinner tonight, my little Valentines are requesting a real treat...mac'n'cheese! LOL We already had mini-cupcakes after school and chocolate hearts!

  11. For the first time, I made cheese fondue for dinner - kid-friendly with velveeta and chicken stock. We dipped chicken dinos, broccoli, bread, carrots, and apples. Then we had white chocolate fondue for dessert - we dipped apples, strawberries, and pound cake. It was super fun and made the day special for us and the kids. Joel even mentioned yesterday how special he thought it was. Both recipes were super easy and thanks to it being a one-handed meal we could balance holding the two babies at the same time! :)
And, hey, look! You have more than 4 people who read your blog! :)
