I was reflecting on the things I need to get done while the babies nap: shower (a very necessary evil), bake cookies (for a thing tonight) and put together the bank deposit. Annoyingly, these will take up most of nap time and then it's off to get my girl. The things that should be on this list are: mop floor, clean bathrooms, dust, vacuum and continue to organize personal finances...blah, blah, blah. (somehow laundry is "caught up" for a couple of days!)
Not quite sure why I felt the need to post this random, monotonous stuff, but there you have it! Probably because this is the repetitive life that I lead right now. I am grateful for visits from precious friends and moments of playing and laughing with my kids that make it all okay.
THANK YOU for the visit today -- it was much needed on my end. You and your boys made my day. Next time put me to work -- I mean it! :o)
ReplyDeleteTrista, I am with you *exactly* ...well, okay, not the "bake cookies" part! I can't even begin to enjoy baking or cooking these days and avoid it on most days, at all costs.--I'd rather find a way to take a shower or put my piles of clean laundry away...everyone else's laundry gets put away, but mine. Naptime is waaay too short and then after school pick comes too soon. I hear ya! :) ~Michelle Love
